Subways & Sidewalks

My wife (photographic contributor and editor) insisted that I rename this page to reflect the proper name of the Paris subway, the Metro. However, my desire for alliteration won the day. That is to note, the proper name of the Paris underground public transit system is the Metro, or "le métro" in French.

These are my personal favorites from all the photos I took during the trip, and were all shot on CineStill Tungsten 800 with the camera set to ISO 400.

Censier-Daubenton

This stop on Line 7 was the closest to our apartment, and it took us everywhere we needed to go in the city.

Le Requin Chagrin

The Sorrowful Shark, a bar on Rue Mouffetard.
"Mouffetard" is French for skunk.

Neon Bodega

CineStill film is incredible at picking up the blue undertones of neon and LED lights. Incandescent light appears haloed in red, as seen in the next two photos.
A new favorite filmstock of mine.
